Karolyn along with her sisters grew up helping their parents, Roger and Roberta, on their family forest. Eventually Kevin came along and joined in helping on the family forest.

In the early 90's Kevin's father-in-law, Roger, purchased a Wood-Mizer sawmill after a very large fir blew down that was too nice to saw up for firewood. Kevin and Roger began milling wood so Kevin could make some extra income on the side, and eventually it became a full time job for Kevin.

Today Kevin has help from some additional family as well as other employees. They all help to provide a variety of responsibly produced products. We also continue to provide portable milling services, which maximizes the value of private logs. Many of the pictures under our "Projects" section are examples of trees that needed to be removed from the property and were milled, into products ranging from siding to interior trim, then used in that building.
